Mass Effect Andromeda Gameplay Showcased At PS4 Meeting in 4K

Yesterday during Sony’s PlayStation Meeting, amongst many fantastic highlights of graphic capabilities on the PS4 Pro, Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay was also showcased.

Aaryn Flynn, who took to the stage showcased the three-minute video shown above, he spoke in depth about how the game will be taking full advantage of the PlayStation Pro’s 4K and HDR10 capabilities.

EA confirmed that the anticipated title will run at 30FPS across both PlayStation 4 and the new PlayStation 4 Pro in EA’s Frostbite engine.

Aaryn Flynn, General Manager at BioWare, during the PlayStation meeting stated, “You’ll be totally immersed in Andromeda,” addressing the crowd, “discovering all new alien worlds, brought to life with sharper graphics and high dynamic range lighting.”

“We’re also able to create more lifelike characters, which will continue to allow you to experience the best stories you can play.”

The three minute trailer showed off protagonist Ryder jet-packing his way through a desolate space station, where it crosses over to the rest of his companions.

Andromeda will be completely separate from the original trilogy as we follow a new protagonists quest to find a new home for humanity from the Milky Way to the Andromeda Galaxy.

We also know that the male and female hero choices are both canon and they just so happen to be brother and sister who exist in the game’s world at the same time.

BioWare’s Mac Walters told PlayStation Access, “If you’re playing as female Ryder, your brother is out there somewhere in the universe. The character we saw two E3’s ago, the N7, is actually your father. So we have got the full Ryder family revealed. We’ll do names and things in the future.”

Flynn discussing in a developer diary that on November 7, which is well known as N7 Day, there will be a Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer that will, “officially open the doors to the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe.”

Mass Effect: Andromeda was originally scheduled to release May 2016 however, Aaryn Flynn wrote in a blog post that they wanted to meet internal quality standards.

“We know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can and should be – that’s our commitment from all of us to all of you. Because of that, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now ship early 2017.”

The PS4 Pro will launch in November for $400, while the PS4 Slim is releasing next week for $300.

Destiny: Xur Location, Inventory Refresh and Trials of Osiris

Universal_Remote

It’s the weekend guys, which means the Trials of Osiris vendor and Xur have refreshed their inventory. Players can find Xur in the Tower this week, chilling low-key near the jukebox lounge. He will be available until until 9am GMT on Sunday, June 14.

Here’s a look at his inventory:

Xur’s Exotic weapon, the Universal Remote, is a shotgun which can be used in your primary slot. If you’re a frequent PvP player, this set up can be ideal for you, as I have seen and been killed countless times by players rocking a double shotgun.

However, the common opinion with regards to the Universal Remote is that it’s simply a weapon for the collection, more or less something worth having in your vault to be used occasionally.

However is it something you would give your exotic slot up for (anyone unfamiliar with Destiny, you’re only aloud to equip one exotic weapon and one exotic piece of armour).

Now, here’s what the Trials of Osiris Vendor, Brother Vance, has to offer for those who are keen and ready to achieve flawless and enter the Lighthouse.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Confirmed for October Release

18265687679_5c090f620d_oIt sees as though many major publishers and developers are jumping the gun these past few days by prematurely revealing content, as was evident yesterday during the Fallout 4 announcement.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection briefly hit the digital PlayStation store before any official announcement in the late hours of June 3. Greg Miller shared the news via twitter who had noticed the title on the mobile PlayStation Store, however it wasn’t long before it disappeared.Clicking on the banner exhibited a error message, “Unable to Find This Page” which evidently indicated that the promo was indeed unintentionally posted up.

Neil Druckman in response to the premature reveal more or less confirmed in a tweet last night The Nathan Drake Collection.

UntitledDetails of the collection remained scarce in the early hours of the morning. Later in the day, Sony posted an official statement in their blog with regards to an official release date for the critically acclaimed PS3 trilogy which will be remastered for the PS4.

Such instances of unintended reveals are not unusual, especially with Sony, as it just so happened in 2014 when The Last of Us Remastered was unintentionally revealed on Sony’s digital game storefront.

Naughty Dog’s official twitter page confirmed the release of the collection here.

The collection will include, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The package in addition to three single player campaigns comes with new trophies and photo mode. Multiplayer will not be included, however upon purchasing the collection, it grants players exclusive access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta.

The newly announced collection will be available October 7 2015 for the US and, October 9 for UK and Ireland.

Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End

The AAA title Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End was slated to be released in 2015, however due to delays the title is now scheduled for release during the first quarter of 2016.

Naughty Dog’s co-directors for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley in light of the delays back in March stated:

“Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.”
