Following speculation on the Fallout 4 sub-reddit, fans seem to believe that the next DLC pack will be called ‘Nuka World’ from one reddit users diligent scanning of the games files.
In a post on the sub-reddit forum submitted by reddit user Flashman7870, the line of code ‘DLCNukaWorld.esm’ highlighted in the picture makes reference to the supposed Nuka World. According to various sources, when Bethesda use .esm files it’s usually for main game files.
Making assumptions from the title of the DLC ‘Nuka World’ many people are starting to assume that it will be set in some sort of nightmarish post-apocalyptic Nuka cola theme park that will feature rides, mascots and attractions based on the famous Nuka Cola beverage. Whilst others are leaning towards a theory where players will be set out to track down the long lost Nuka Cola beverage formula. Either way, both of those theories seem pretty enticing to me, even though I would like to play around in a killer Nuka World theme park.
Although the facts at this point are still not set in stone as there hasn’t been any official statements from Bethesda confirming the validity of the new DLC title, many sources believe that Bethesda are likely to make some sort of announcement this year at the company’s E3 2016 press conference that happens annually in the month of June seen below in a tweet.
Since the release of Fallout 4, Bethesda have kept players pretty occupied with their post-launch DLC when they introduced Automatron, as players went up against the Mechanist with the aid of their freshly modded robotic companions and Wasteland Workshop that came out on April 12, an add on that gave people even more artistic licence to decorate and upgrade their over-the-top settlements with neon lights and specially crafted cages.
Also in the image provided in the post, there is a clear indication of code for the Wasteland Workshop called “DLCWorkshop02” and “DLCWorkshop03” code, which is simultaneously good and bad news because I always find myself spending too many hours decorating my settlements.
In the meantime, the Far Harbor DLC that was recently added onto the main game on May 19 included 20 hours of lengthy game-play for main and side quests, terrifying new enemies, weapons, gear and the largest land mass add on a Bethesda game has seen.
“A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secrety colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work toward bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass fpr am add-on that we’ve ever created, filed with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.
However, since the release of the Far Harbor DLC there have been many issues regarding the overall performance and frame rate dips that occur in the dense fog that myself and many others have been experiencing.
